Three groups are currently
active at our Center. These are not, strictly speaking,
'classes' as one ordinarily thinks of them; rather, they
are study groups in which we share information
from various sources as well as our own experience
and insights as they relate to the information.
The first of these are the two groups studying the
Course In Miracles. For most of us, the Monday evening
group, meeting at 7 PM each week, is the best place

A second group, meeting each Wednesday morning at
10 AM, attracts the more 'advanced' student. For details,

The third group is Reysha's
study group on Tuesday mornings at 10 AM. This group has
an eclectic approach to spiritual information, requiring only
that whatever source we use be interesting, useful, and
(as far as we can determine) true. Currently we are studying
Eckhart Tolle's new book, "A New Earth".
Our next project, beginning some time in October ('06), will
be a study of the new book "How the Bible Became The
Bible" by Don O'Dell. This traces and explores the various
historical, social, religious and spiritual elements that combined
to produce first the Pentateuch (Jewish Torah) and then, with
selected additions (and omissions!) emerged as the complete
Old Testament.
This same evolving complex of elements formed the
social, political, emotional, and religious 'world' or atmosphere
into which Yeshua (Jesus) was born, in which He declared His
ministry, and which coalesced about Him to guarantee His
crucifixion.
O'Dell's research (augmented by others) then examines the
scant oral reports of Yeshua's life and ministry, the people, events
and influences that eventually drew together what came to be
called 'Christianity', then went on to create the documents we
know as the New Testament.
This promises to be a fascinating and, for some of us, a challenging
exploration. Rev. O'Dell's book has already transformed my
outlook and understanding of the Bible, and I fully expect that
transformation to continue throughout this group study.
