MEET REV. RICHARD MARAJ

Ordained in June, 1998 at the Unity School of Christianity, Unity Village, Missouri, Richard served as associate minister in Raleigh NC for 2 years and then became the senior minister at Christ Church Unity in June of 2000.

Born in Trinidad Richard was raised in Tobago and in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Prior to his ministry Richard was a professional speaker, speaking to such groups as Xerox, The Royal Bank of Canada, Speedy Muffler King and The Cooperators Insurance. A member of the National Speakers Association and Toastmasters International, he was a finalist in  Toastmasters World Championship of Public Speaking in Dallas in 1990.

Richard has worked with a number of community service organizations and has been recognized for this service with several awards including The Peter Street Inspiration Award and a Canada's Literacy Volunteer Award.

Rev. Richard has a passion for living and enjoys trying a variety of activities such as sailing, canoeing, juggling, fly-fishing, skydiving, live theatre and sports. With a love for many things, his greatest love is for his family. He has 5 sisters, 4 brothers, 18 nieces and nephews and the most wonderful mom in the world!
