MISSION STATEMENT: GROWING SPIRITUALLY IN SISTERHOOD; GIVING OF OURSELVES; LEAVING THE WORLD BETTER THAN WE FOUND IT.

U.S. was founded at Christ Church Unity in January of 2000. The purpose of U.S. is to serve our church, our community, and ourselves.

All women are welcome to be part of U.S. We get together every third Saturday of the month for lunch. Some months we have a pot luck at church or at a home, some months we plan an outing.

Officers of U.S. include a President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary/Reporter. These officers are elected for a two year term. At this time there are also two committees - Teddy Bear and Habitat for Humanity.

Teddy Bear committee is responsible for setting up the time to take donations at the church services for teddy bears to be given to those going through a traumatic situation, both adults and children.

Habitat for Humanity committee is responsible for seeing to the feeding of workers on a Habitat project.

U.S. also collects the monthly needed commodity to feed the homeless at the Grand Avenue Temple. U.S. is always available to assist in anyway possible any organization in the church that needs our assistance.

While service is our main objective, U.S. women also enjoy good times together at our lunch meetings. We invite all women attending Christ Church Unity to be a part of U.S. Remember our motto - there is always room for more of U.S.
