Youth and Family Ministry

Many, many years ago Myrtle Fillmore, Unity co-founder, heard the words, "Who will take care of the children?" and knew that she would. Over the years so many hands have raised in answer. As we continue the work that Myrtle began the "Living Curriculum" was created and developed by the Association of Unity Churches. The "Living Curriculum" provides the opportunity to take care of our children in the most wise, nurturing, holy and respectful ways.

The Living Curriculum is a philosophy, a process and a program of spiritual support
to assist children in successful living. It is designed to "draw forth" the truth mainly through experiences, storytelling and creative expression. Each lesson relates to an issue in a person's life and seeks to facilitate an experience of God connected to their life.

Our Youth Ministry includes the following classes at 10:15 am:

•Angel Loft Nursery - Up to age 3
8:20-9:45 & 10:15-11:45 • Unifriends - 4th & 5th grades
Team Leaders: Jim Nichols, Everette Willians, Ron Eason

• Unitots - preschool
Team Leaders: LaTrinda Williams, Pat Ross • Uniteens - 6th, 7th & 8th grades *
Team Leaders: Chuck Blanchard, Joe Miriani, Calvin Ennis

• Unitikes - Kindergarten & 1st grade
Team leaders: Judy Fink, Jayme Hartgrove, Marion Smith • Y.O.U. - 9th, IOth, I lth, & 12th grades *
Team Leaders: Nancy Haynes, Judy Jones, Gloria Busey

• Unikids - 2nd & 3rd grades
Team Leaders: Nan Beyer, Bill Beyer, Jennifer Marchand,
Terresa Rodriquez *starts at 10:30 am

Monthly Activities

Our Family Ministry also includes monthly activities
open to all members and friends of the congregation.

Upcoming Activities
June 8th
YOU Graduation Ceremony:
Any Graduating Senior will be recognized on this day.
We ask that all graduating seniors notify the church office & submit a picture by June 1, 2003.

Field of Dreams Baseball Game / BBQ / Parade:
Join us for our Annual Game & BBQ.
The kids are invited to bring any bike, wagon or ride-on toy
to decorate and ride in the parade.

June 15th
Father's Day:
Bring your favorite guy to church.
The kids will honor them with a special gift.
