Unity Center of Shreveport is a leader in Practical Christianity.  We are dedicated to discerning the truth in the teachings of Jesus Christ and living them.   The teachings of Unity are varied and wide ranging. Unity affirm the Bible is positive, creative, constructive and is indeed the main textbook.  T he biblical lessons  relates  to life and everyday experiences.  Unity emphasizes a positive spiritual approach to life. 

We make known our beliefs about the divinity of Jesus, and all human beings are divine in nature. Jesus expressed His divine potential and sought to show us how to express ours as well.  Unity teaches that the mind is your connecting link with God of the Divine Mind and explains how your mind affects your outer living.   Through prayer one  can expand and transform their thinking thus changing their life. 

Unity  stresses that God is not a physical man, God is Spirit , everywhere present, the one and only power and denies the existence of any other power or presence that opposes God.

Unity gives attention how to live in the present, emphasizes the divine potential within every child of God and teaches that through a practical understanding and application of what Jesus taught, every person can realize and express his or her divine potential for a happier, fuller and more successful life.
